FAMILY AND BEGINNER PROGRAMS - A SNEAK PEEK

SKIING IN GULMARG

Every February and March we head to India's ski capital - Gulmarg! We've been holding these ski programs since 2010 and our instructors are national and international champions that will be only to happy to teach you and your children the skill. Their ultimate joy? To watch a newbie ski down from Phase 1 Kongdori Station at 3080m!

KIDS LEARN SKIING SUPER FAST!

Kids pick up skiing pretty quickly. By Day 3, you'll find that most of them have graduated from the beginner slopes on to the more challenging ones. We have some of the best ski instructors on our team that include national and international champions.

PARENT & CHILD TREKS

The Parent and Child trekking programs are shorter in length - around to two - five days, and are an exciting introduction to an adventure lifestyle far from the comforts of our modern homes. The programs are designed to help the parent and the kids connect with nature, build new bonds, make new friends, break barriers and build self-confidence.

Some Messages from our Parents and Children:

“Thank you for this wonderful trip you put together for us mothers and our kids. The whole team as been absolutely amazing in taking care of the kids.  Whether we were hiking or rafting or even at the temple, they watched our kids like a hawk to ensure not even one ever went out of sight..the experiences, knowledge and skills that we go back with is something that each one of us will treasure and put to use in many ways in our journey of life.
- Shalini Rattan, Parent and Child Program March 2017
“The whole program was very well designed, organized and implemented. It provided a great learning experience not  only for our kids but even for adults. We have all learned many things from this trip...it was a memorable trip and I would like to thank your wonderful team for taking good care of our kids and us. We felt our kids were very safe with you all around.  I really hope that we go on many more trips with you.
- Rehana Turra, Parent and Child Program March 2017
“I really enjoyed the trip because I learned many new things that I didn't know, some huge ones being learning how to pitch a tent and take it down, the correct types of footing while going uphill and downhill and new directions for rafting like holding on to the lifeline if a rock was incoming. Some smaller ones included not to try to cross the Ganga River, to look directly ahead if you are car sick, how to light a bonfire, to listen carefully and to always believe in yourself that nothing is impossible.
- Burhan Turra, Grade 7 student, Parent and Child Program March 2017

WHY "OUTWARD BOUND"?

In nautical terms, when a ship leaves the safety of its harbour for the challenges of the open seas, she is said to be "Outward Bound".

Similarly, when young people leave the comfort of their homes and workplaces to venture into unfamiliar territory, or when they change their usual way of thinking and adapt to new ideas, they are said to be Outward Bound. The programs offered equip its participants to grow through challenges helps them to head out bravely into unknown waters.
“A ship in harbour is safe, but that is not what ships are built for. - William Shedd
