This program will take you to the heart of the agricultural belt of the Punjab. You will live on a farm and see all aspects of farming. Crops that are growing, animal care, local arts and crafts and generally participate in the life of a real live farm!

DAY 1: |
Travel to Gary’s Farm. Where you will be introduced to the farm and program then form into your teams before heading off to pick some vegetables and learn about growing cycles, weather and irrigation. We will cook our dinner tonight using earthen chulas /ovens/stoves as the villagers do.
DAY 2: |
Early rise for a nature walk around the lake before taking a trip to the local village and school. On return to the farm we will try our hands on crafts such as pottery and basket weaving before heading to the stables to learn about animal care and have a go at milking a cow!
DAY 3: |
Today we will discover about organic farming before visiting a sugarcane farm. Here we will learn about the process of making jaggery. On returning back to the farm we will have chance for some presentations before we close and depart.
